FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every wedding comes with questions, and we’re here to make things feel a little simpler.
From how we work and what to expect in front of the camera to timelines, pricing, and the practical details,
here are a few things you might want to know before deciding if we’re the right fit for you.

ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?

Absolutely. Love is love, and everyone deserves to feel comfortable, respected and celebrated on their wedding day. We photograph people, not expectations, and we're happy to work with couples of all identities, body types and backgrounds.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS AND FILM?

2

We always send a “small” resume as a preview a few days after the wedding, so you can relive a few moments while everything is still fresh.

Full photography galleries usually take 2–4 months, depending on the season and time of year. Films take longer, with delivery taking up to 8 months, as we carefully edit the footage, audio and music into a film that feels true to your day and your personalities.

ARE TRAVEL EXPENSES INCLUDED?

Travel expenses are included for weddings in continental Portugal. For destination weddings, we tailor the quote to your location and plans, as travel and accommodation costs vary from one wedding to another.

3

WE´RE NOT SURE ABOUT GROUP PHOTOS. DO YOU TAKE THOSE?

4

We do recommend taking some, mostly with your closest family and your closest friend groups. In our experience, these are often the photographs people are especially glad to have years later.

Over the years we managed to create a system that keeps things running smoothly and doesn’t disrupt the flow of the day. We suggest deciding on the groups beforehand and have someone close to you coordinate the groups. This helps us make the most of that time without taking you away from your guests for too long.

WE ARE NOT PHOTOGENIC BUT WE WANT GREAT PICTURES.
CAN YOU HELP US?

5

You wouldn't believe how often we hear this. Honestly, we'd say around 98% of our couples tell us the same thing — and you probably wouldn't guess it from their photographs.

You don't need to know how to pose, what to do with your hands or how to look at the camera. We'll give you a little direction when it helps, but we won't turn your wedding into a photoshoot. Our job is to help you feel comfortable, look like yourselves and enjoy the day.

WILL WE HAVE TO SPEND A LONG TIME TAKING PORTRAITS?

6

No, unless you want to. We believe in giving direction when it makes a difference, especially for portraits, while leaving plenty of room for things to unfold naturally. We'll plan a little time for portraits, make the most of the light and location, and then send you back to your wedding.

And if posing is something you thoroughly enjoy and you’re aiming for some more crafted, editorial style portraits, we are more than happy to separate a longer time for this and play around to create something epic!

DO YOU WORK FROM A SHOTLIST?

We welcome any particular people, moments or details that are especially important to you. Rather than following an exhaustive shot list, we work with the timeline and the natural flow of the day, staying attentive to the moments as they happen. For specific family photographs or requests, we'll make sure we plan for them together beforehand.

7

DO YOU WORK TOGETHER AS PHOTOGRAPHERS AND FILMMAKERS?

8

Yes, preferably, but not exclusively. Photography and film are complementary parts of what we do, and working together allows us to approach the day with a shared understanding of your plans and priorities. We coordinate our coverage so that both can happen as naturally as possible, without making the wedding feel like a production. Nevertheless, we’ve been together for 18 years and working on weddings for 14, so I guess we can say that we can literally read each others minds, which comes in really handy when it comes to reading clues and act promptly on your wedding day.

DO WE NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?

9

Most of the time, no. Everything you see across our website was created by the two of us only.

For photography, we're usually both there, bringing our own perspectives and working together throughout the day. When we cover both photography and film, we work as a team and can usually cover weddings of up to around 250 guests without adding another person.

For larger weddings, or when the schedule and logistics call for it, we may recommend an additional photographer or filmmaker. Over the past 14 years, we've built a trusted network of professionals we know and love working with, so if extra coverage would genuinely benefit your wedding, we've got your back!

WHAT SHOULD WE BUDGET FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM?

10

Our couples typically spend between €3-5k for photography and €7-9k for photography and film for weddings in Portugal.

Every wedding is different, so if you're planning a more intimate celebration or a multi-day experience, we tailor a proposal to suit your plans. For destination weddings outside continental Portugal, logistics, travel and accommodation are factored into the quote.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?

Once we've checked availability and you've decided we're the right fit, we'll send over the contract and booking details. Your date is secured once the contract is signed and the 50% deposit is paid.
